Reducing Data Storage Space Using Computing
Cloud Computing provides Infrasturcture as a Service i.e IAAS. For Cloud Vendor to provide space for their customer is there job and manage their data is there responsibility. But nowadays there customer is increasing day by day including Banks, Finance and health insurance and many different companies. Increasing in customers of cloud means increase in demand for servers. As in cloud, cloud vendor provide space for their customers, they also provide flexibility and scalability and backup for customers data. For cloud vendor it becomes expensive to maintain data, purchase more server on demand.
In order to save the server space and make reduction in the cost of maintenance of data,cloud vendor have choice for this, for example In BANKING one person may have two to three account in different banks. In all the bank he/she gives the same information to open his/her account. When the same person goes to different bank he/ she has to give the same information result in duplication of data in different banks, at the same time it is wastage of time and money of the bank and also of customer because everytime he/she has to submit the same information again.
Now every bank is maintaining their own data they are having their data centers. In order to maintain their data they require more servers and more human resource to manage their data and at the same time infrastructure also needed to embed all this thing result in loss of money, rise in electricity charges, require more space and it also affect environment by manufacturing more and more servers.
If all the banks move to cloud computing there is reduction of cost as well as less they require less human resource to handle the data of there customers. This will reduction in money as well as electricity charges at the same time, it is easy for the customer to open their account instantly if he/she is having account in any of the bank. Because every bank have the same information. This is also help in fraud detection, if a person is giving different information in different bank or giving different id. Also if a customer is changed his/her phone number, address or any other information this will be changed in every bank and there is more transparency.
